I think i'm going to start a new story
When she was born her hair was the color of the sun, so they named her Eili. She had an older brother born three winters before her and they named him Isbert or Isa for short. For the first 15 years of their lives summer and winter never parted. They played all day in the fields and slept all night on the floor in the main room of the longhouse.
It was in the fields where Eili first caught a glimpse of the destruction her brother could cause when he felt threatened or hurt. She was collecting wildflowers while her brother and the other kids were throwing dirt clods at each other in a game of tag.
She was enjoying the way the sun felt on her bare skin and was listening to the small sounds the tall grass made in the gentle breeze. When she felt the shadow of one of the boys creep up behind her, so she turned around and there she saw Mica. Mica was the oldest boy of the family that lived nextdoor to them.
" Hey Mica "
' Hey Eili '
Mica held a dirt clod the size of a calf's head behind his back.
' They call you Eili for the sun, don't they? '
And before she could answer Mica had thrown the dirt clod in her face and said, ' Now you are Solsikke (sunflower)
Eili with tears in her eyes was hesitant not knowing if she should fight Mica, who was twice the size of her and would easily just throw her down or if she should run away. Isa saw his little sister crying and ran up to her. " Eili what happened are you ok? And turning around Isa faced Mica and shoved him back, " don't you ever go near her Mucka . " Mica hated being called Mucka which means cow-dung more than anything in the world and he suddenly stood up straighter than his slumped posture normally stood.
' I was only kidding around with your sister relax Isa it's only a little dirt.'
It was here when Eili noticed a strange vibration in the ground and she felt a sudden drop in the temperature and it sent shivers down her spine.
" Oh yeah, and this is just a little shove."
Isa knocked Mica to the ground with that little shove and stood over him and threatened his life if he ever came with in a hundred feet of Eili. Mica said nothing, got up, and took off home.
Isa was three years older than Eili and still just barely a little taller than her and Mica dwarfed him in size but still Isa's strength was much more than anyone's in the village becausee Isa and Eili's family was poor and small so all the manual labor was usually done by Isa alone.
