Nobel Prize for Literature

Foolishly I once inquired if one could put Stephen King forward for the Nobel Prize for Literature. Of course, one needs to be one of the "individuals authorized to nominate, such as a member of the Swedish Academy, a professor of literature or linguistics at a qualified university, a previous Nobel laureate in literature, or the president of a relevant writers' organization". However, if any of you are one of those individuals then, please, do it for all of us who enjoyed reading his novels instead. He's far from the literary equivalent of a Big Mac and fries

I wonder if it is the subject matter or target audience that disqualifies a writer such as King. I would also put forward Neil Gaiman and Philip Pullman for consideration.

@SunshineGirl Interesting authors, but overall size and influence of work... I like King to have it. They gave it to Winston Churchill and Bob Dylan afterall
