Writing Fantasy Lore

Currently researching the Gallic Wars for inspiration on making some fantasy lore. Also in my research, I've found that Julius Caesar had quite a big ego. Who knew.

I stand corrected! I found this on the net:

Augustus, also called Augustus Caesar, was the first Roman emperor following the republic, which had been finally destroyed by the dictatorship of Julius Caesar.
“All Gaul is divided into 3 parts..,”

First line in Julius Caesar’s “Commentaries on the Gallic Wars.”

- the realm of the Belgae, Aquitannae and Celtae….

Declaring himself emperor and destroying the republic are red flag clues…

@knapsdad He never declared himself Emperor. The first Roman Emperor was Augustus. Actually the people of Rome tried to crown Caesar king three times and he refused each time.
