I feel like you are just trying to stir the pot here, but if you aren't, you are part of the problem with the world right now.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf sorry you think that but I am not
@ShadowWolf quick question do you know the difference between socialism and communism ?
i dont think you do..
The main difference is that under communism, most property and economic resources are owned and controlled by the state (rather than individual citizens);
under socialism, all citizens share equally in economic resources as allocated by a democratically-elected government. and can own land .
Under socialism, decisions are made by the people, for the people; under communism, decisions are made by the government, which can easily lie.
socialism brought clean water to all homes.
electric for homes.
roadworks and dams to make the electric
and one of my favorites social security .. which i am drawing on..
you should have studied history a bit more. most of the things you like are created by socialist ideas and yet you have not a clue on who or how they got there.. unions for police and the coal miners union. myself i was a steelworkers union officers.

I do understand the difference, and socialism is equally a problem as communism for the reason in quotes. They also typically go hand in hand. I do not believe in centralized government, or working my as of for lazy people, nor sharing my money, nor paying high taxes. Things I like? I don't believe in unions. They had their purpose during the Henry Ford days. Now they are just bullies.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf your only highlighting your lack of understanding of socialism
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Loopysoutherner And you are living up to your name. Loopy. It's been tried, and failed by m,any countries over time. It failed every time as some strong man rose to power. What makes you think you are entitled to my money?
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf not heard of Robert owen, clement atlee or Howard Wilson?
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Loopysoutherner Not heard of Vladimir Lenin? and Nicholas Maduro? Boih followers of Marx. Look what happened.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf Lenin who legalised abortion 50 years before America did and improved women's rights
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf also legalised homosexuality and gave workers control of the factories they worked at
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Loopysoutherner The fact you idolize a man like Lenin tells me all I need to know about you. The same man that seized private property, that redistributed Russia's wealth, that oppressed the very people who he claimed were the oppressors. Good day to you fruit loop. I'm sure other southerners are so proud to call you theirs (sarcasm), you are probably an outcast. Good day.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf that over the tsarist regime and attempted to make Cuba a developed literate country which previously had not been the case under tsar
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf he oprressed the white army after they attempted to defeat the bolsheviks during the civil war
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Loopysoutherner He oppressed a hell a lot more than the white army. Anyone who was not a laborer was oppressed. And at least under the tsar, people could have private property. At least under the tsar, people could have religion. At least under the tsar, people could have guns. Lenin took all of that, and made everyone equally poor. I say again, good day. You are hopeless. I'll keep my private property, money, and my freedom. Thanks.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf the point of socialism is to abolish private property and replace it with Co operatives for all workers. Under tsars the Russian people were an underdeveloped and illiterate country being exploited by the monarchy. That's cute that you think you are "free"
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Loopysoutherner And private property is important to me. And most people. Most people do not want high taxes, or government taking their stuff. If you want socialism, please do move to North Korea, or Venezuela. We will be happy to be rid of another of your kind here in the US.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf private property exploits and alienates its workers while the bosses make surplus profit whilst common ownership puts the business in control of the workers. Progressive income tax helps benefit the economy and only charges as much tax as the individual can afford. I live in the UK that has benefitted from socialism and democracy. As opposed to the US that still depends on nationalism and old fashioned values
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Loopysoutherner I disagree. I'm just happy you are in the UK. Where you can't influence us here in the US. We are a constitutional republic. And will stay that way.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf your blinded by nationalist loyalty and ignore those who are in medical debts and those who are in poverty and homeless
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Loopysoutherner People need to get off their ass and work to better themselves. People who are able to work, should work. The socialist welfare system rewards contentment and delinquency.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf you falling into the myth that if you word hard you'll be rewarded? If only that was true. Social welfare helps look after those who are unable to work
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Loopysoutherner The UK is still in the shadow of the old caste system. Something we never had here. You guys have a different mentality. Here, working hard, and putting in effort does produce results. It's just that there's a bunch of whiners who want free shit.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf working hard produces nothing but sacrificing personal lives that are instead revolved around a job that a lot of people dislike and don't care about due to the alienating feeling caused by the managers and bosses. Working constantly produces misery and lack of any social life or personal development and most of the time peoples wages are only just enough to survive rather than living a productive happy life. In America more than half of its citizens are unhappy in their work
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Loopysoutherner That has not been my experience at all, and I know many others here who are perfectly happy and making well over minimum wage.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@ShadowWolf that's an individual thing but again more than half of american citizens are unhappy in their jobs. Most people in general only work to be able to survive
@ShadowWolf ok then if you dont like it .. dont collect your social security when ya get old.
not all is easy for some here in the usa . here you climb up the ladder on the backs of those under you . lets start taxing the churches and the rich.. they pay less taxs that the avg working person does.. tax breaks only help the rich and the church.to stay rich.. and the trickle down theory just means pissing on the poor.
