@redredred if it wasn't for people like him and trade unions workers would have absolutely no rights
@redredred the usa would be on the top of that list. red who does not know anything.

@markansas I know FDR unnecessarily prolonged the Great Depression by 6-8 years. I know that Marx never earned enough to support his own family

Marxism is the philosophy of greed. Marxists want what others have earned.
Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F
@redredred you've just contradicted yourself. How can Marxism be a philosophy of greed of marx had no money?
redredred · M
@Loopysoutherner Greed is the wanting of money. He had none so he wanted what others had earned.

Did that really need to be explained?
Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F
@redredred yes because that's an abstraction created by you and bares no resemblance to reality of karl marxs life
Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F
@redredred so if you want money, are you a greedy person?
redredred · M
@Loopysoutherner If you want what OTHERS have earned, that’s greed. If you want to work for what you want (and keep it) that admirable.
Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F
@redredred that's what all working class parties believe in. Improving workers rights and advocate for common ownership of the means of production
redredred · M
@Loopysoutherner Ever notice that in all collectivist economies one is prevented by law from opening a market economy business but in a market economy one can join with others to form a collective?

That’s because a market economy is based on freedom and a collectivist economy is based on coersion.
Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F
@redredred the market that has strict rules? I wouldn't call that freedom. Co operation is more productive than competitons
redredred · M
@Loopysoutherner really? Too bad reality conflicts with your chosen ideology. Competition is why your cellphone fits in your pocket instead of being so bulky it had to be built into your car.
Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F
@redredred the success of co operative businesses prove otherwise. Yes it did but competition creates divisions and ill feelings
redredred · M
@Loopysoutherner Feeling are a poor basis for an economy

Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F
@redredred worked well for the uk. Freed cuba from falgenio batista. Improved the lives of those at New lanark under Robert owen. Helped improve workers rights and conditions
redredred · M
@Loopysoutherner So well for the UK, Margaret Thatcher was elected to straighten the mess out and went on to one of the longest serving PMs ever. Cuba was an impoverished shithole so long as a Castro was in charge.
Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F
@redredred and she made the uk even worse. Just like Johnson has now. Cuba has a better literacy rate than America and around the same life expectancy
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@redredred Correct, people had villas, private property, businesses in Cuba pre Castro. Castro pulled a Marx, and destroyed the economy, the middle class, and the high class to make everyone equally poor, and himself rich.
Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F
@ShadowWolf the American destroyed the Cuban economy by placing that embargo. They've actually admitted that
redredred · M
@Loopysoutherner Here’s your Cuba today, still a hellhole

https://elamerican.com/cubans-reproach-pope-francis/?utm_source=pocket_mylist
Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F
@redredred and still better than it was under American led dictator felencio batista
redredred · M
@Loopysoutherner First off, if you’re going to spout nonsense, it’s Fulgencio Batista. I know you haven’t actually studied the matter but it’s pretty easy to get it right.

And no, it’s still a shithole
Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F
@redredred the fact your defending him proves you haven't studied anything and are taking the word of a pope
redredred · M
@Loopysoutherner I’m not defending him, I’m spelling him correctly, something you tried to do twice and failed. And I’m certainly not taking the word of a socialist pope. If you read the article you would have noted it is a criticism of both pope and the Cuban regime.
Loopysoutherner · 51-55, F
@redredred so your creating a fallacy to defend your dislike of cuba?
