He was so wrong about everything. Capitalism, humankind, the future... everything

@DffrntDrmmr if so then why are the working class only just managing to get by and are feeling the pinch of inflation prices while the top one per cent of society are still making tons of money? Why is homeless still a thing and food banks exist? He was spot on about capitalism as it exploits and alienates the working class whilst making surplus profit

@Loopysoutherner Your perception of the working class is distorted. America's working class live very well and are only limited by themselves. The opportunities are endless for those that seek them and motivated to take advantage. The ultra-wealthy top billionaires make obscene amounts of money but do you realize how many millionaires there are? How many "oppressed" black millionaires there are? Do you realize how capitalism rapidly transformed poor Chinese into billions of middle class people with comfortable lives?
Homelessness is not essentially an economic problem and has little to do with capitalism. It's primarily a human dysfunction or mental illness problem. They all could secure jobs if availability were the issue.
You don't grasp how enabling capitalism is. Exploiting?! Alienating?! Hogwash! Your reading time would be better spent trying to understand capitalism, what makes it successful and how it's harmony with human nature is a beautiful thing. How fair it is. How it provides equality of opportunity.
You're falling into a trap by reading the failed ideology that wasted so many years of human potential in the 20th century.

@DffrntDrmmr that's your opinion and mine is that over half of americas workers are unhappy in their work. Something like 580,000 people in America are homeless which is also caused by medical debts, a capitalist issue. 11 thousand dollars to have a baby, how ridiculous. Its not that easy for everyone to get work due to their materials conditions and backgrounds as class issues still exist. Haha capitalism has no harmony with human nature apart from selfishness and I'm all right Jack attitude. No such thing as equality in life and never has been
DffrntDrmmr · M
@Loopysoutherner I believe in regulations. One of the biggest things Marx got wrong was he didn't account for the flexibility and adjustability of capitalism. You talk of medical bills. While not ideal, today people who cannot pay high medical bills and it has little or no effect on their credit or ability to live normally.

@DffrntDrmmr incorrect he knew5it had to constantly revolutionise itself to survive and also knew it was unstable and would lead to economic recessions. Haha what a load of rubbish. Silly excuse to defend a system where you could go into major debt because I might be unlucky enough to get pregnant or have an injury
DffrntDrmmr · M
@Loopysoutherner One reason capitalism is so successful is its natural harmony with human nature, which is beautiful, and is liberating and fair. That should be what you seek to understand most. That's what you're missing. Marxism, on the other hand, is unnatural and oppressive, and will always fail. Do you realize no socialist/Communist experiment has succeeded? Capitalism fuels this world.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@DffrntDrmmr haha you should read history and look outside into the real world. We are living in a oprresive society today. Was even worse in past capitalism times where of you simply critisised the system you'd either be arrested or forced into exile. Workers during the industrial revolution were made to live in small cramped houses that were in such poor conditions they'd catch diseases and those factories forced local orphans to work for up to 12 or 15 hours every day. Americas treatment of black people throughout history proves it Dosent care for liberty. Another example is the supreme Courts decision to overturn roe v wade. That's absolutely disgusting to take away a woman's rights to choose wether to have an abortion or not. Marixsm thrives for common ownership of business's and to end class divisions In society. Capitalism fuels the world whilst slowly poisoning those it deems unworthy
DffrntDrmmr · M
@Loopysoutherner Recession and inflation are part of the self-adjusting dynamic of capitalism. When Marx wrote his unrealistic theories capitalism was struggling and Marx assumed it was due to a failed system. History proves it came back stronger than ever and now powers the world. Meanwhile, everyone was forced to abandon Marxism last century. This you cannot deny.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@DffrntDrmmr so you've just acknowledged your contradictory claim that capitalism creates equality which it blatantly doesn't. The current rise in inflation prices whilst wages stay the same are further prove that its an incredibly corrupt system that places profit above the workers who without them businesses would collapse. How's common ownership of a business unrealistic? Its a thing already in today's society as several businesses are ran by its employees. Marx said capitalism is unstable and susceptible to economic crisis which history has proven to be true. His theories of alienation are also true as majority of workers simply work to survive but don't enjoy what they do or have any control over the produces they help sell or how the business is ran. Marx was alive during the industrial revolution so no it wasn't struggling and marx recognised how it was able to free people from a feudalist system. No one has been forced to abandon marixsm at all so that's just nonsense

@Loopysoutherner I apologize if this offends you, but you are so divorced from reality you are a Leftist cliche. What you're saying is utterly ridiculous.
Loopysoutherner · 56-60, F
@DffrntDrmmr bit rich coming from you. Someone who has said utter abstractions such as claiming capitalism is harmonious with human nature. Never heard such a ridiculous thing in my entire life. If written history is a cliche then yes I am. What I'm telling you about marx is based around my knowledge from actually reading his works
