Trying to resort to my old passion...

Do u think I can be writer beside being a doctor?
Since I was just 12 I started writing short stories and even novels. Writing and reading have always been my greatest passion. Now I am involved in medicine and rarely have time to write. But getting depressed and hopeless makes me think abt a way out which is starting a new novel. Do u think it can work? Has anyone ever tried it?

I come rather late to this post, but historically there have been some famous writers who also practised medicine.

Can't say I have ever tried being a doctor and being a writer, together?

Certain confidentially issues would exist... What would you like to write about?

@SW-User Okay, in this day and age, easy to find translation, but sometimes they don't meet the original expression still? I read a lot of authors who don't speak English, their words are translated, but they are well known authors?

Writing can be very therapeutic no matter what ails you 😊

I think you should keep writing as your hobby, that you love and enjoy. Write as much as you can in your free time. Some day, when you have a pension, you can safely write full time.

People who write novels usually find their novel rejected a hundred times. That is normal for any writer.
