Have you ever read Bram Stoker's Count Dracula?

@thewindupbirdchronicles I have read Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire, Lestat and Pandora.

@Panna She clearly borrowed from him in influence. I have only read 'The Witching Hour', almost thirty years ago, but without much memory of the book itself I can still have deja vu moments for how she set the scenes within the book. Maybe the hotel in a nearby city, once a quaint village, I had probably seen as a child came to me in how she set the scenes in that novel. It was eerie, I could remember then the characters from the book and I could have pictured them opening the doors in the front of that hotel.

The oddest feeling of déjà vu I ever had, because for the life of me I could not remember having seen that hotel before, and there it was depicting the scenes I had read.

@Panna I need to read them but between work and farm it’s a constant struggle. After 16 hours of work I waste and hour here lol. I need to use it better.

@DareToSayIT I work a farm, help my parents on their farm, work with a dance collective and freelance model, as well as paint by commission. I have time to read!

@Jimbo1 What’s that jealousy that he’s remembered for a classic and well constructed story, from a writer, like so many others who research rather than actually visit, and make a brilliant narrative in a story?

@Jimbo1 He wrote as a sideline to being the personal assistant of actor Sir Henry Irving and business manager of the West End's Lyceum Theatre, which Irving owned. That's what he was know for during his lifetime. And he couldn't have been TOO unsuccessful an author if publishers were willing to invest in releasing 11 more of his books?
