Richards on Richards, and The Warehouse were a couple of my favorite places to go to. I went clubbing every weekend.

@Sapio cool...i've never been to r on r ...we usually stuck with the clubs that we had in my 'burb...we did venture downtown the odd time... i remember sneaky petes when they had 99 cent highballs...wasn't really a club but a cheap place to drink....same with the ivanhoe....but freaks galore around there
Adrift · 61-69, F
We had a blast.
My favorite place was an old catholic church that was turned into a nightclub.
My friends band used to play there.

@Adrift yeah...i loved some of the "live band" bars of yesteryear...unfortunately they are hard to come by these days...there was a bar in south vancouver that had a peeler bar upstairs and a "rock cellar" downstairs that we as 20 year olds had a lot of fun at....i can't describe the vibe in a few short words, but i miss those days @Sapio i believe knows what bar i'm talking about
Sapio · 51-55, M
@beermeplease the bar was called the Cecil.
beermeplease · M
@Sapio no...the mill town or aka fraser arms....but the cecil was another

It was so much fun. We had a blast.

@Jenny1234 not much of a club as in for dancing but the last time i was in TO was in 1990 at a bar called "the gasworks" i had a blast there with the cool live bands...i wonder if it still exists
Jenny1234 · 56-60, M
@beermeplease when was the last time you were there? Think it’s been closed for quite a while.
beermeplease · M
@Jenny1234 fall of 1990...it was right downtown...i think lili told me a couple of years ago it was still there but i could be wrong

We usually just went out and got utterly wrecked🫠[media=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpKCqp9CALQ]

😡 mid to late 70s . Damn disco rage. Thank the heavens disco was put to death in 79.
Once Steely Dan began hitting the clubs and air waves a known savior had been found. Then the death to disco night in Chicago finally blew it all up.
I wouldn't post a disco video if I was paid royally.
