A Midsummer Morning's Banter

Act I, Scene I

In a quaint village square, the sun begins to rise, casting a warm glow over the gathered townsfolk. Enter the Players, ready to embark on their day.

Julien: (Grumpily) Eight this morning... on a Saturday. There are two geese on my roof, screaming down the chimney shaft.

ArtieKat: (Excitedly) TWIRLY!

Spacesbetweenus: (Confused) What's twirly?

ArtieKat: (Chuckling) You asked, "Early, late?" Say "Twirly" out loud to yourself, my dear!

Friendlyman64: Late.

Spacesbetweenus: (Intrigued) Is it past ten?

Friendlyman64: Sometimes.

Jenny1234: Eight to nine on Saturdays. It’s my day to sleep as long as I want, but I'm usually out of bed by nine.

SapphireSoul: (Proudly) Five to six. I can never sleep in.

WormMan: Usually by seven, I'm up and about.

Thevy29: Nine or ten, I reckon.

Donna15: Early riser, I am.

V00doo: (Mysteriously) Around 5 a.m. for both.

Lumberjackslam: (With a grin) Depends on how badly I want pancakes or waffles!

The villagers exchange amused glances and hearty laughs, embracing the whimsy of the morning banter. As the sun climbs higher in the sky, they disperse, each to their own adventures and endeavors, ready to seize the day.
