Barefoot Living

Well looking back its maybe 2 years since I was frequently active here and I can happily report duringbthis time I have been barefoot completely and do not own any footwear whatsoever.

Even met a friend that enjoys spending time with me whilst I'm barefoot and she's wearing her shoes.

Open to chatting with anyone about the unshod barefoot lifestyle

Have you developed calluses on the soles of your feet? If so, how thick?
If so, how do the calluses affect what you feel, eg:
- thorns, bindiis, broken glass, torn cans, discarded syringes?
- treading on spiders, ants, mosquitos, ticks and other stinging insects?
- mud and water on wet days, (tinea & fungal infections)?
- blistering hot tarmac in summer?
- ice and snow in winter (chill blains, frost bite)?

- Have you ever been refused entry to some places? If so, which types?

What are the upsides for you?

Did you know the late UK poet laureate, Robert Graves, liked to go barefoot?
For special occasions he had elegant shoes with the soles cut off, and held them on with thick rubber bands under the arches.
