Why do people care what some wears or don’t wear?

I went shopping at wal mart today barefoot which I love going barefoot In public.. I really love when people are put off when they see im barefoot.

I couldn't careless either way, however in business it is customary to wear conservative attire by way of representing the company; boring I know.
