@hippyjoe1955 That's why I can handle it

@BarefootLeilani That is why I have snow boots that are rated to rated to -80. It never gets that cold but -40 is not uncommon.

I hate stepping on sharp things and injuring my feet…. Shoes are good about preventing that
Barefooter25 · 46-50, M
@cherokeepatti If you end up with hookworm or other parasites, it was probably because the feces came from an infected animal. If a barefooter somehow does end up stepping on dog feces, best thing to do is pour water on your sole and scrape your foot against the grass or sidewalk. We barefooters also scrub our feet with soap and water whenever we take a shower.

@BarefootLeilani An important thing to remember is that you will find many of these parasites in less developed countries, especially the ones with bad sanitary systems.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Barefooter25 it could have been a tiny bit not even noticeable.

I never liked wearing socks and got rid of them many years ago. Unfortunately, our climate will not allow for never wearing shoes, but I wear shoes when I absolutely must, and I never completely cover my feet by opting for slides, flip flops or peep toes.
BarefootLeilani · 22-25, F
@CM440 I hear ya! If I did have to wear something on my feet, sandals would be my footwear of choice. Either flip flops, slides, or birks
Barefooter25 · 46-50, M
You and me both!!! Too bad we cannot convert the people out there who wear crocs and also the ones who wear socks with sandals.
