Barefoot Autumn

Love barefooting in autumn i love the feeling of the crunchy golden leaves as the line my favourite woodland trails, the soothing feeling of the cool mud under my bare soles and the overall connection with the earth with each and every barefoot step.

I went for a walk with my boyfriend yesterday. It started raining. We weren't in the woods, just a local park but I made him stop so I could take off my boots for a while. There's just something I loove about walking barefoot when it's raining.

I had Dr Martins on and was wearing socks for once. We sat on a bench near a couple of guys. My boyfriend always gets a bit awkward when I'm actually taking my shoes off because he knows people are going to be watching and wondering what I'm doing. I took my boots off and sat there for a moment in my socks. It was cold yesterday so I knew there was going to be a bit of adjustment. I took the socks off and shoved them inside my boots. My boyfriend picked them up, offered to carry them for me, which was cute. And a huge deal for him because he doesn't really like involving himself that much.

The concrete was cold and I'd probably done it a bit early because I had the gravel path to cross before we got to the grassed section but I'd just been eager to experience the weather!
My feet were filthy by the time we got home and I needed the wash and foot massage my boyfriend treated me to. It's not something I've done for a while, that lengthy a walk without shoes and I was a bit unpractised but it made me want to get out there again before the weather gets too cold.
