I don't remember being bored as a kid. I was either outdoors finding exciting things (often stupid things) to do or inside working on model airplanes. I watched cartoons on Saturday morning and ballgames with my Dad, and that was all the TV time I had.

When I was a young kid, we didn't have nearly as much to entertain ourselves with...yet I never remember being bored when I was very young.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
@DragonFruit I could've entertained myself with sticks and rocks, honestly

Yep. Back then it was the worst thing in the world.

Id give anything to be a kid again; whoever said being an adult was fun LIED

@Moneyonmymind yeah, those years were the best. I look back and my worries were so trivial
You never wanted to indicate boredom around one of my maternal uncles while growing up, he'd make you pick up EVERY stick in EVERY grassy area on the family farm, THEN take you to the OTHER TWO FARM PROPERTIES, and make you picknup EVERY STICK on those two other farm properties, a total of roughly seven acres worth, and put them ALL in a central firepit at the main family farm property, then he'd invite everyone over for a bonfire with hot dogs and marshmallows after he mowed all of the lawns on all three farm properties, while he made you sit in the house with nothing but a balogna and cheese sammich and cheap chips and water. I also hate that uncle as much as one on my Dad's side.

@NativePortlander1970 I would have done all that for a bonfire. There was and is a bit of an inner pyromaniac in me.
@caPnAhab Except that you would not have been allowed to light, nor enjoy it.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
@NativePortlander1970 yeah, I know. I wouldn't have liked your uncle either
