What childish thing do you still enjoy doing?
What childish thing do you still enjoy doing occasionally? What childish things you still enjoy doing or having as an adult? What is the most "childish" thing you do or enjoy doing? As an adult what childhood or childish thing do you still enjoy doing? What childish thing have you never grown out of? What childish habit have you never grew out of? What's one childish thing you do that you feel you will never grow out of? What incredibly childish thing that you probably should have outgrown by now do you still do/ enjoy?
It can be something from your own childhood, or something you recently discovered. And it can be anything at all, just so long as it's incredibly childish. When did you grow out of liking "childish" things?
I'm currently a college student and feeling a little bit lonely regarding my interests. For instance, I really love cartoons – I could talk all day about Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, Over the Garden Wall, Star Vs., Tangled: The Series, etc. But it honestly feels like pretty much no other college student likes these types of shows. Regarding cartoons, in college, it's only acceptable to talk about liking Rick and Morty or about how much you used to love ATLA. I could say the same thing about loving anime or video games. I even feel this way about reading! Somehow even reading is something that people stopped doing in college and it's cool to brag about how you don't have time for reading because you have more important things to do. It's not like I want to change myself to be socially acceptable or change the things I love - because, after all, I love these things for a reason! But I just get so excited and passionate about these things, so it makes me sad that I don't really have anyone in real life to share it with. It's why I really appreciate Reddit for having communities centered around all the things I love. But it's not the same as talking to someone I know about this stuff. Yet I can't see myself growing out of these things, at least not for a long time. But I imagine the loneliness regarding this is going to get worse after college. Have any of you guys had the same experience? Did you grow out of it? Or did you eventually find people who actually liked the things that you liked? What childish thing were you into as a kid that you never grew out of?
