Still haven't figured out how to write well

A good man?

Yes!

But occasionally I want to be a devil.

Not a winged beast with a pointy tail

But a crooked smile to make you lose your morals

A sense of excitement to make you question your pride

Temptation to forget the character you've made for yourself

A sense of adventure void of all inhibitions

A connection to the dark side if you will

Remember if you see a twinkle in my eye

At times I want to remove you from the mundane comfort you live

I want to corrupt you to follow your passion into my soul

Just sometimes, I want to be that devil inside you.

@cycleman i just want what's in my head out. I've studied writing from Shakespeare to Dylan to poe....I'm just not great at the vocabulary or conveyance of my thoughts. Or metering or much anything else about. I appreciate the encouragement, but at my age, I am who I am.

@Notanymore Well if you understood Shakespeare, Good on you for that. He bored me after that line "To be or not to be".

@cycleman it takes some research and educating for me to understand the concepts of Shakespeare. There's some really good teachers that will read it and go over the meaning and cut tge Victorian acting out of it. Really entertaining to hear it in a heavy, almost cockney accent
