These are a few of my favourite things

Walking in the woods.
The silence.
The trees.
Sinking down into the thick, lush moss covering the forest floor.Not musky. Fresh. Soft in that oh wow I didn’t know I needed this way.

Finding an interesting rock.
Holding it in my hand.
Wondering who..or what...has held this same rock before.

A good cup of coffee.

A long, lingering hug from someone I care about.
Knowing I'm cared about

Sitting on a cabin balcony of a cruise ship watching the sea go by..
A long drive on the open road ahead, without a schedule.
Laying on the sand in the shade of a palm, without a plan..
Feeding the magpies in spring, noticing when they start taking meat back to the nests for young. And then some weeks later, having the young show up with the parents to be fed..
Listening to one of a few favourite pieces of music.
Good coffee and pancakes I didnt have to make..
Silences that dont need to be filled..
