Satellite TV ( the big dish) made it available to me as a kid. I remember BR-549 and I can't find my glasses even when I am holding them in my mouth! 🤦🏻♀️ and I'm not that old.

@PhoenixPhail It popped into my head this afternoon. And I thought it’s been over 30 years since I heard that number and can still remember whose it was.
PhoenixPhail · M
@cherokeepatti Didn't it belong to Junior Samples?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@PhoenixPhail Yes playing a used car salesman on the show.

The day will come when I no longer know what any particular key is for.

UL3-1212! The time back in the 1960s and 70s! 😹
Before the 70s just 1212 worked for the time.
Neither no longer valid here ever since the 1980s. 😞
They as well discontinued 411 (phone number information) a bit later. I forget when. 😞
Oddly they still have 311 (nonemergency services).
And 611 is my service provider.

My wife is the one who is misplacing glasses and keys a lot, as well as her phone. I am often helping her search for them.
I must confess that that number doesn't mean a thing to me.

DrWatson · 70-79, M

How about if you KNOW you forgot a couple things today...but you can't remember what you forgot? 🤪🤪🤪
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@4meAndyou Yeah that happens. I think the brain is like a hard-drive, it can get filled up.
4meAndyou · F
@cherokeepatti Mine filled up a looong time ago. I've read so many books that there is no RAM left...🤣🤣🤣

Oh yeah those were the good old funny shows. He'd kick the tire and the fender on the other side would fall off.

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Repete The show aired from 1969 through 1993.
Repete · 70-79, M
@cherokeepatti I don’t think we missed many of the shows I liked Grandpa Jones, what’s for super, String Beans little hat flip after his songs, Minnie pearl with her tags still on her hat along with Junior Sample , and the whole cast including topo geejo oops wrong show 🙃
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Repete Yeah that “Granpa, what’s for supper?” Was one of my favorites.
Atlotto · M
My Dad bought a car from Junior Samples.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Atlotto So did he start a used car lot and capitalize from his role on Hee-Haw.
Atlotto · M
@cherokeepatti Was he on Hee-Haw? Dang, my Dad has a collectors item! 😉
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Atlotto If it was the real Junior Samples and not someone who took that name for a nickname.
Musicman · 61-69, M
Hey Haw! Loved that show. Watched it every week. 🙂
Musicman · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti We watched all of those. Tim Conway and Harvey Korman were fricking fabulous together.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Musicman TIm Conway would improvise and crack Harvey Korman up when he was trying to say his lines and that was one thing we looked forward to.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti It was so frickin funny! Lol!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
