Do you take yourself seriously?

Just a simple question. Yet in some ways quite profound. Do you take yourself seriously? Can you stand in front of a mirror and genuinely laugh?

I'd just say that this ability is distinct from actually taking anything else seriously. At least I think so.

Just asking

Just an extra word, quoted from a random website that popped up via googling....

Learning to laugh at yourself is actually a surprisingly effective way to deal with your negative circumstances or self-doubt. Studies have shown that laughing at yourself is actually linked to better confidence, self-awareness and mental health. But can you learn to laugh at yourself even if you're not confident?

@TelegramSam As long as you don't laugh at yourself in a degrading way. That's what my therapist said when I shared to her the concept of memes and asked "Is this healthy?" 😂
I take my voluntary behavior seriously. The rest is highly amusing.

@Funlov Hi, thanks for asking. Yes, I've known a few hard times, when our mortgage was new and our daughter young. But now retired and to be honest, never had it so good. Thankful for all we have.

@Funlov What is being rich? Maybe just being grateful for what you have. Contentment. All truly valuable things are pure gift.
No, I can't do that.
@Funlov I laugh about everything else 🤣

@MsSwann I laugh until I get pissed off and then it’s not a good thing

@MsSwann Maybe you haven't got a nose like mine.

I'm starting not to

@bluestacks Ah! Living and learning! Not always the case.
Sheesh, I may have serious thoughts that amount to nothing other's might have thought of, my only care is the thought in care I give to those I love... The rest, they may amount to something, but without those I love, I'm lost.
