@calicuz yes for comedy. It started years ago where I actually posted things I did or said offline. It became a big hit with friends and family especially those who knew me well.

I didn't realize the impact it made for people until I received a message from a friend from another social media site. She wondered where my post were because she had been reading to her mom who was in the hospital and for the first time in years she was actually laughing.

The last choice in your question, by lacking the adjective "other", is really rather obvious :-)

Why? Fun, really. Informal social chats with others. Information too, but that on serious, specialist fora dedicated to my interests.

Not "validation" as far as I know - I don't know what it means in social media terms.

Because big money socio-psychological tricks are being played on those that are addicted to those places.

Most of the well knowns on those sites are bought and paid for by big money media. Purpose. To promote various agendas.

I have a lot of friends that i met on EP and SW on those platforms. Just have to be careful on IG. In my personal experience 85% of the people that personally message me on there are hustling catfish.
