I prefer the bench. I'm easily drained of energy so getting out into the field is really not that enjoyable to me.

I have been "benched" for a few years now.... but I still get outside as much as I can and enjoy..

I'm the scientist on the bench predicting everyone's actions, and being grossly disappointed

Turn off that computer. Make yourself presentable. There is lots of cool stuff out there and you don't necessarily need plenty of cash either.
