Another Use for Alien Tape (Also Known As Nano Tape)….

I used it to get lint off of some towels I washed today, some of the new hand towels and wash cloths got a lot of lint on them when I washed them today. Nano tape wrapped in a circle around my hand blotted the lint off, took a bit of time but they look good now. Glad I bought a few rolls at the discount store.

Well, some things about Alien Tape aren't true. I used it to hang a very lightweight strip of wood with small hooks attached above my sink, to hold my potholders. It's fallen down twice now, even after I scrubbed and degreased the area. And yet it is supposed to hold your pictures and your what have you's on the wall.

Apparently all you need do is wash dishes and create a lot of steam, and it comes right off the wall.

@4meAndyou Everything I have used it on has held up good so far. I have stuff stored in the cabinets next to the fireplace and one had a little gap due to the pressing of what was inside, two little squares of the tape stopped that. And I can tug on the door and get it open but it won’t open by itself. Have taped a door rug on the tile floor in the entrance and it doesn’t budge even when vacuuming with a strong suction vacuum cleaner, it used to scoot all over tile when we’d walk on it.

@cherokeepatti I am not having the same luck. ONE of the pictures I wall mounted with it is holding really well, but another one would not stay up. I used it on the rug near the kitty litter box and the litter gets under the rug and causes it not to stick on one end.

@4meAndyou they say to be careful with using it on painted walls because the weight of whatever it’s being used for could tear the paint off.

@cherokeepatti So far, I am just having trouble with it sticking to formica.

@4meAndyou do you clean the surface with alcohol before using it?
4meAndyou · F
@cherokeepatti No. Was that in the directions? I would have to buy some alcohol. I used degreaser. (dawn liquid dish soap).

@4meAndyou no it wasn’t. But even a tiny bit of an oil film can affect adhesion. I always use alcohol on my license plate before I put the new year sticker on it.
