I Got My Last Electric Bill A Few Days Ago & It Was $207, Haven’t Had A Bill This High Since 2011 When We Had A Record-Setting Heat Wave…

I got a letter the very next day from the electric company, was expecting it to be an apology but nope, just telling me that they raised the rates and that the average bill would only be a little more than $2. Bull crap, every time they say the averages my bill is at least 3 times more than that. And I don’t keep the house ice cold either.

How is your electricity supplied? If they're burning fuel to generate electricity, your provider may be passing on the price increase and hoping you don't raise a fuss with an extreme markup

@Longpatrol I live in Oklahoma we have oil wells and natural gas is a by product of oil wells, they used to burn off a lot of it rather than capture it. Shouldn’t be this high but they passed the rate increase.
