Is racism in the southern U.S. different than other parts of the country?

@Zonuss Just my own experience having lived in several parts of the country. The worst systemic racism I witnessed was in Michigan.

@fernie2 Let's acknowledge that the Jim Crow ended, for the most part, in the 1960s. When I lived in the south in the 80s-90s, I made lots of close friends who were black...more than any other place I've ever lived. Not saying the area is free of racism by any stretch, but the south gets a bad rap due to an old reputation. My experience in Michigan was very different. It was ugly at times, and the racist feelings were in both directions.

And this is all just from on the spot memory. If I took some time, I'm sure I can remember more racist things he said or did.

TBH, I don't know for sure if Trump is racist, but he definitely says racist things because he knows that's what his cultists like.
