Is racism in the southern U.S. different than other parts of the country?

@SW-User That's because people won't ever let white people, even today, live it down. They insist on hating whites today and keeping that hate alive. Everything we do, we hear "RACISM!!!" at the least little thing. Whites hate racism and what happened in Abraham Lincoln's day, just as much as Black people do. But I wasn't there, and if I had been, I would have fought FOR these slaves!! I am sickened and appalled on how disrespectful and degrading they were treated and if I'd have seen one white man going to beat ANY human being, especially slaves, I would take him down. Such barbarism, I cannot believe!! How DARE them!! Instead, BOTH races must work hard to abolish racism, but in this world, we see too much hate on BOTH sides. Some, will never learn. Sadly, I don't see it ever being resolved. I'm so sorry. Yet, I will not be accused and those evil acts constantly shoved in my face, how slaves were treated in the past. I wasn't there, I didn't do it, and I wouldn't want that for any race today.

@LadyGrace Racism involves more than slavery. Regarding Whites & Blacks, not all of them are racist toward each other and some in the past were not racist either.

However, racism as an issue is alive and well in America because it is still systemic, involving every social and economic issue from voting, criminal justice, employment, medical care, housing, education, etc.

Things were getting better but it seems as if they are slowing down and may stall out very soon.
