What do you predict things will be like in 20 years?

Maybe free speech will be limited to those in who are in power, like government officials 🤔.

In 20 years, bakers are going to bake with whole grains and we'll move back to those lovely breads! New laws regarding food cultivation will be in tact and we're not going to have that much of monoculture or harmful pesticides we have now. Animal farmings will be characterised against animal rights, which will be greater than they are now.
The new generation that is now cultivating the lands will have their kids grown up as a new generation of farmers that would invest in new age smart machinery.
Water will still rain and the horses will still be running on beaches.
At the same time Musk will be dead, and many others, due to stress related issues. His electric cars will be around though.
Life on Mars will still be on the table. New laws due to overpopulation will be put when it comes to bringing children to this world. And all the world is going to have clean water and food, due to charity and volunteer work that is being done easier than before because of the internets' connections.
More and more people will learn about natural ways of living, and we are about to be choosing which parts of technology we are going to be using. After the decade of the Metaverse VR that everybody will suffer, people will realise we can't go there yet and return to what's healthy.
People's minds will be clearer and hearts will be more open, due to all the work healers are doing intensively around during these times.
Educational system will evolve more towards steiner's approach as few countries already put in practise. Big rooms with plenty of stimuli for children to choose from.
Artist will be over the place, showing the world's mysteries and beauty.
Lots of stuff will not need to be done any longer as everything is going to be on cloud and automated. More time to bake cookies!
here! :p

I don't know and neither does any other prognosticators we are merely projecting what we see rr feel now:

Has it come to your attention how the race of man
Has been climbing upwards since time began,
How it's been climbing steady, and it's climbing there still,
But every time you notice it, it's going down hill?

Chorus

Going downhill is the natural way,
For the old folks work and the young folks play,
And the pioneer morals universally decay -
Yet definite improvement is discernible today!
Hi-yo, hi-yo, discernible today!

Now there's been a quite demonstrable and healthy gain
In higher mathematics and the size of the brain,
Between us and the oyster there were great strides made -
But every time you look at us, we're slipping down grade.

Chorus

Going downhill is the natural trend,
For the old folks gather and the young folks spend,
Yet line up all our forebears on the path that we descend
And a definite improvement is apparent at this end!
Hi-yo, hi-yo, apparent at this end!

The Egyptians, the Assyrians, the Greeks and Romans, too,
Hung up some fancy records when their world was new,
And some they hung so high the boys are shooting at them still -
But they saw themselves continually going down hill.

Chorus

Going downhill is the way things run,
For the old have illusions and the young have fun,
And our manners and religions everlastingly decay,
Yet astonishing improvement is discernible today!
Hi-yo, hi-yo, discernible today!-Maxwell Anderson

Malthus said we'd starve WWI didn't end all wars and Armageddon nuclear military or Biblical has been averted despite al our best efforts to bring it about..think positive

Free Speech will be for conservatives. The rest of us will be under surveillance. Global warming will accelerate.

Any political change will be frozen.
@Crazywaterspring Basically back to the 1950s.

The earth's surface a wasteland, and all remaining humans living underground in a strict authoritarian structure with awful soupy green muck for food.
@SW-User yep .....with a sprinlke of authoritarian capitalist materialistic idealistic social antagonism.😞

@OogieBoogie Triumph of the Will stuff :(
Slade · 56-60, M
@OogieBoogie I just saw that a couple weeks ago. First time.

Friend had a party with the 2022 theme (when it takes place)

Chuck Connors was a serious badass there
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
Not good at all. We're definitely heading for a crisis, it's just hard to know which one will come first. There are a lot of cracks in the foundation of society that are growing bigger by the day, and they're not properly being addressed because nobody wants to lay on that grenade.

At some point it'll all crumble and a lot of great minds I respect are predicting it'll come crashing down between 10 and 20 years from now
iamelijah · 26-30, M
Massive natural disaster.
Slade · 56-60, M
Hetero activity will be a Hate Crime
TheunderdogofNY · 36-40, M
I'm just quietly gathering what I need to so I can freely move around as needed no matter what happens in 20 years or 10 for that matter.
@TheunderdogofNY Smart thinking.
The way things are going, forced vaccinations and more socialism. And schools will actively push a homosexual/trans agenda
HeidiA · 41-45, F
Nah, just more people being dicks to each other on the internet.

Everything will be the same as it is now.
Coppercoil · M
It's going to be dark. The power grid is their weakness though.. take that down you can take them down.

The Seattle Metropolitan Area light rail link, will be undergoing another re-design. Something about setting up train tracks over a floating bridge, in retrospect, being a bad idea. In the meanwhile, all the end points' parking structures and buildings, as of 2025, are "temporarily" used to house all the homeless, who were persuaded to abandon their normal encampments, with offers of free lattes.
TheFragile · 46-50, M
Hopefully not a wasteland created by a nuclear war.
Poverty will expand and reach new lows in first world countries.

Free speech will be limited to minor platforms .

Racism and religion will predominate the news just below political propaganda.

And hate will be the division of the world.
@Slade thing is ...it'll still be the same aggressive misogynistic crap that we have now, except worse .😞
Slade · 56-60, M
@OogieBoogie Yes but only one participant will walk on their hind legs
Slade · 56-60, M
@Slade But the music on the porn will be every bit as high quality it is now😋
WhateverWorks · 36-40
The movies Idiocracy mixed with Wall-E
A scary thought.
@bijouxbroussard You are right 😯...
caesar7 · 61-69, M
I prefer not to dwell on it. Unfortunately, I am pessimistic about it.
