Does the vaccine cause heart attacks

Elessar · 26-30, M
You have like 1 chance in 200,000 of experiencing REVERSIBLE cardiac adverse reactions.

With covid, they're much, MUCH more frequent, and not necessarily reversible

Choose your poison, you'll get either one or the other, it's only a matter of "when" not "if".

* Corrected the figure. I remembered 1/100k but it's actually ~1/200k

[@1157462,ididntknow] Actually I remembered bad, it's even lower, 5.8 per million, roughly 1 in 200,000 🤔

[@44863,Elessar] I suppose you’ve just got to hope you aren’t one of those, haven’t you !
Elessar · 26-30, M
[@1157462,ididntknow] I suppose you don't want to be the 1:25 (twenty-five, not thousands or millions) who experience it with COVID either

[@327405,TheOneyouwerewarnedabout] I thought it'd better be Moderna instead ?
Too many unknowns with these vaccines and those who have been vaccinated. The vaccines are not the same nor are those vaccinated. Too many unknowns and variables.

[@1157462,ididntknow] It's almost one year since the rollout started. Are you waiting for us all to die of old age to then attribute it to the vaxx? Meanwhile, in this year, the pool of unvaxxed deaths has been much, much more copious.
ididntknow · 51-55, M
[@44863,Elessar] nope, just asking the question, do you just accept what the so called experts tell you, without question, can you remember thalidomide? I also do not trust, Fauchi, Gates, etc, Otis ok to question you know, you can still see on the internet, Doctors recommending certain brands of cigarettes, saying, how good they are for you,

Sheffield United midfielder John Fleck was taken to hospital after collapsing on the pitch during their Championship match at Reading. How many does that make now? I have lost count there are so many of them.
hopefully not, for the sake of the millions of people who have been vaccinated.

A GB News story? Enough said!

[@335077,TheConstantGardener] Do you prefer the bbc, it’s not a story, it’s a doctor speaking, do you prefer Fauchi

Myocarditis and pericarditis (Inflammation of the heart)
The MHRA has undertaken a thorough review of both UK and international reports of suspected myocarditis and pericarditis following vaccination against COVID-19. There has been a consistent pattern of higher reporting of these suspected events with the COVID-19 Pfizer/BioNTech Vaccine and COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna, and of these occurring more frequently in males. In the UK the body of evidence shows that for Pfizer in particular, there is similar frequency of reporting after the first and second dose, with suspected events typically occurring within a short time after vaccination. These reports have also been analysed by the government’s independent advisory body, the Commission on Human Medicines (CHM) and its COVID-19 Vaccines Benefit Risk Expert Working Group. Following their advice, the product information for the COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna and the COVID-19 Pfizer/BioNTech Vaccine was updated to inform of these reports and advise healthcare professionals and patients to be aware of important symptoms for myocarditis and pericarditis.

These reports are extremely rare, and the events reported are typically mild with individuals usually recovering within a short time with standard treatment and rest. People should come forward for their first and second vaccination when invited to do so, unless advised otherwise.

It is important that anyone who experiences new onset of symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath or feelings of having a fast-beating, fluttering, or pounding heart seeks medical attention.

Up to and including 10 November 2021, we have received 413 reports of myocarditis and 320 reports of pericarditis following use of the COVID-19 Pfizer/BioNTech Vaccine, as well as three reports of viral pericarditis, two reports each for infective pericarditis, carditis and viral myocarditis, and one report each of non-infective endocarditis and streptococcal endocarditis. For COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca there have been 148 reports of myocarditis and 185 reports of pericarditis following vaccination up to and including 10 November 2021 as well as six reports for endocarditis, five reports for viral pericarditis, two reports each for endocarditis bacterial, carditis, viral myocarditis and acute endocarditis and one report each for infectious myocarditis and autoimmune myocarditis. There have been 93 reports of myocarditis, 55 reports of pericarditis and one report of endocarditis following use of COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna up to the same date. Three fatal events have been reported with the COVID-19 Pfizer/BioNTech Vaccine and two fatal events with the COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca. There have been no fatal myocarditis or pericarditis events reported with the COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna to date. Fatal events are being monitored closely and are carefully followed up to gather relevant information. The majority of fatal reports describe underlying illnesses in these patients that could provide alternative explanations for the events reported
