English words that mean different in US and UK..

First floor - In US it means the ground floor. In England it means the 1st floor above the ground floor 🙂

Lays, in USA it's a chips brand in UK it means to get laid.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether 'Getting laid' is an American term imported to the UK like so much else. I could list maybe a dozen genuinely British phrases meaning the same. But I won't. Some are quite disgusting.
