English words that mean different in US and UK..

First floor - In US it means the ground floor. In England it means the 1st floor above the ground floor 🙂

When North Americans say 'gas' I think of the skit 'Who's on first'.

"No, when I asked if you have gas I meant gas; not gas - gas! .. you know - gas!"
