Not getting the Work-Life balance right. I gave too much attention to work and didn’t make enough time to spend with my wife and young family.

@Sevendays yeah true. And poor management allowed it, maybe expected it! 24 years in my last full time role. The last 5 as department manager. I loved the job and the company. Maybe now with hindsight I realise I gave them far too much.
They did, however, set me free at age 55 so I’ve been able to reap some of the rewards in this last 7 or so years and take things a little easier. More importantly, much more quality time with my wife, kids and grandkids.
