how should you react to someone who insinuates false things whilst you're talking to them

a person who insinuates things which are untrue when you're talking to them, do you know what i mean?

i'm a sensitive chap, and i tend to take situations like this personal...what is the best way to respond when someone is subtly insinuating things which are not true?

Respond by ignoring whatever bothered you. Don’t even attempt to address it. It will kill them…
