I think civilization peaked about 15 years ago when you could just buy software and not have to relicense it every year. There are many other reasons too bigger ones than that but all mostly to do with big business prying our money away from us.

@GeniUs Right? I'd like to find the person who invented the subscription model, and lock them in an airtight box and charge a monthly fee for air.

@LordShadowfire seems fair. Nestle did a similar thing in an African country I think it was whereby they purchased a huge water supply and wanted to stop the locals from using it. How did the world ever get to this state?
