One of those days

One thing I regret in life is that I didn’t have a chance to talk about beliefs in politics with my husband while we were dating.
I never thought political views would get so bad in our daily lives.
We never argue over our personal matters but we always end up in disagreements when it comes to political issues.

Political views can often reflect a person's core values and morals.

My husband and I watched the news and I mentioned how Ilhan Omar looked like another crooked politician.
We watched the same content and he said it’s all Mike Johnson’s fault because he didn’t do his job properly!
He believes that Republicans are to blame for everything.

And this Ilhan is blaming FBI!
We always had the different views on politics but this time I was really frustrated and felt disconnected.

I dont get this.

We can't do squat about what politicians do.
All we can do is exert some degree of control, (or peace), over our little patch of the universe.

Why let politics come between so much good personal stuff?

@OogieBoogie tell me the secret how to maintain peace when your only family is cursing Trump every day and Biden was ok and Harris doesn’t have problems talking logically.
When he says that to my face, how can I be calm?
I’m not even a Trump supporter, I’m a neutral position in politics.
When he believes those nonsense I am easily doubting his judgement capacity.

We didn’t meet in America and I never saw the reason to ask what is his political view back then.
I didn’t have any idea about American politics as it’s not my priority.
After I came here US and realized he was watching msnbc a lot specially Rachel Maddow show, I was the one told him she doesn’t seem right.
I’m not even American but I can tell who’s lying and fabricating stories that has no evidence.

What gets me is that die hard liberal like my husband thinks he is an independent thinker and super smart.
I lived 20 some years in S Korea and I know how communism likes to display as advanced socialism and when I see my husband so called an intellectual falls easily into that bullshit here listening to Bernie Sanders.😡

Once I met American professor who came to Korea to avoid Obama administration, I thought that was extreme but now I know for sure he was the real smart guy, I should have trusted him and gotten the picture about real America.

I’m hopeful to leaving America soon, that become my next dream come true project.
