Being low (affective) empathy

Does anyone else in here have low affective empathy too? It's kind of difficult to talk about this topic around other parts of the internet because of the very nature of It.
Im pretty confortable with It since my life have never been that impacted by having this characteristic.

I see myself as the same consequently it's something I have to work on all the time. Take a moment to consider what you say before you say it or post on a forum before you post it.
Here's an example; a friend posted pictures of his children running, I noticed his son was really starting to shape up as an athlete and I wrote as such - I took the time to read through what I'd said and realised how his daughter might feel if she happened to see my comment so I changed the comment to 'your kids are starting to look really athletic'.
Lack of empathy may not impact you directly but you can hurt other people with it and that will change how they see you.
