When you ask for a yes or no answer and receive an uncertain response it often means that the person answering doesn’t know the answer and they are counting on you to find the answer. It’s the passing of trust to you without overcrowding your wisdom with their own. Run with it.

Take a deep breath, get yourself some caffeine or fresh juice, take a few minutes off, relax, and try again. You've experience and the expertise and this ain't the first time you're facing such a situation. You'll bounce back in minutes 🕯️

Just because we live in a digital age does not mean everything boils down to a yes or no answer. Many, if not most, are judgment calls and it sounds like you were hired to make those judgment calls.
Two columns....
PROS and CONS
Then decide....
(But just know that either way you decide something...... a percentage of the people there will think you are wrong)

Kitkat.
Take a break.
Rest and regroup.
After some food, rest and a bit of thinking, you realize that it's not that bad.
Not trying to negate your vent, just saying.
Oooohsaahhh.
