Have you ever known what you needed to do, but couldn't push yourself to do it because you knew it would hurt the people you care about?

I can't' think of a time when I would do something that resulted in hurt people. Like what kind of things foreinstance? If I think it will hurt someone I just don't do it. Can you explain what you mean?
