Glad it wasn't graded

In school for cooking class my teacher in first week had us split into groups to make a recipe to learn to cook as a team. Each day was with different people so we'd all get chance to interact with others before fully deciding on permanent groups.

For 3rd group recipe it was appetizers. The recipe was a cream cheese & marinara dip with toasted French bread slices. We read the recipe & I said the recipe looked really bland & suggested adding fresh herbs plus whipping the cream cheese with some added herbs as well or else it would be impossible to dip into. At first they seemed to agree but this one guy just started on recipe by himself & since he was dead silent & you know a guy (lol), everyone just decided he was the leader. I kept trying to talk to him telling him we can't just dump the sauce & cream cheese together it won't even taste good, & we should all be working on it not just him. -silence- I was so annoyed. I tried convincing rest of my group but since the "leader" ignored me so did they. Also this idiot just microwaved the tomato sauce dumped it in bowl with cream cheese that had no seasoning. That was it. It of course tasted bland & was impossible to dip.

When the teacher tried it she said we should've discussed modifying the recipe to make it better. At end of class she admitted to giving us crappy recipes to make us talk & work together. And that no one seemed to get the exercise,

which I interrupted to say "I understood it was a team effort since it was group setting & i tried to discuss improving recipe but I kept getting ignored, so 🤷🏻‍♀️."

I didn't care if I annoyed her or my group by saying that, I was just so pissed off at being ignored that I wanted everyone to know why our dip was just straight up trash, especially after whole class, minus my group, laughed at our dip.

Was so glad it wasn't graded. And I hated that guy rest of semester & hoped I wouldn't be stuck with him on a project. Thankful that never happened.
