our relationship wint be the same

me and this guy became friends back in august and ig he liked me a lot but i was completely oblivious to this and thought he was just being friendly. then during early september he starts going out with this girl that he said he hated when he was on call with me and for some reason this made me start liking him. so i began liking him and not telling anyone, and his girlfriend had broken up with him like a week before and then i started telling my friends and my friends and his friends were constantly trying to get us together but he is showing no signs of liking me anymore and its super upsetting because now even if he doesnt like me, it wont be the same. we would call for hours and talk like we had been friends our whole life. even if he doesnt like me anymore i still want to be his friend but i dont think it will happen
