BIGGEST QUESTION OF THE CENTURY

How do people get so angry on others having different opinions? Genuinely, like I don’t get it?

Whenever someone has a different opinion than me I just continue on with my life if I dislike it. Yeah sure I’ll think about it every once and awhile. But I’m not gonna yell at them. Or if it’s online, fight with them.

Sure there are times I’ll get outspoken. But that’s not online or with randos. But rather family, or one’s close.

Idk I’ll never get it. Just agree to disagree. If they keep bothering you just block their ass. It seems like such a waste of time to keep fighting with em. People who do that constantly are weird. I have stuff to do, like daydream, or do art, or sleep, or-

We often identify with our opinions. They are part of the fabric of the "self" that we presume ourselves to be. The centre of the world. When our beliefs and opinions are challenged - or when we hear those of others - our very identity is challenged. Many simply need to assert themselves to convince them that they are alive and "justified".
