To text him or not to text him?

@SW-User Everything inside of me is screaming not to and yet here I am still contemplating it. 🙄

@PerfectIllusion Gotta listen to that gut, man. It’s there for a reason. Take a step away from the flashing cursor in his text box. Just let it not be present in front of you for a few. Sometimes we give in when our emotions are a little wonky. Let them get corrected before you type out any words. Get some fresh air. Eat a little something. Occupy your mind with something that feeds your joy. And then see if it’s still something you’re contemplating.

@acupaday thank you for this. I'm going to reread it 100 times when I get the urge to send a text. This elephant in the room is a killer.

Don’t chase them, it will be hard but shows you either way, if you’re important they’ll be in touch.

@SW-User I really feel like chasing is what I'd be doing if I did send a text even though he texted me last on Saturday and we've talked this morning. Idk, it's just complicated with no easy answer. This is so unlike me and thats whats bothering me the most.

It’s natural for us to want to text if you’re keen on them, it has to work both ways though, they have to meet you in the middle, otherwise you’ll be the one chasing them most of the time.

@SW-User So true. I feel like once he gets to the middle, then everything becomes such a gray area. I'm too old for this. And he's older than me. 🤣

I know the feeling! I can’t be bothered now, I think I’ve gone the opposite way.
it’s hard, dating at our age isn’t easy, it’s put me off even trying again.

My advice would be not to text, wait for him, as hard as it will be. 😌
