Is it appropriate for a Man to Vent?

Should a Man be allowed to vent about the obstacles, difficulties & frustrations in his life or is he supposed to just keep them bottled up inside and act like nothing bothers him?

Here's my experience as a husband (now divorced). When I was wrong, I was the bad guy until I apologized or conceded or somehow atoned for my wrongness. When my WIFE was wrong, I was the bad guy for bringing it up and pointing it out to her.
