Friendship should have an ease about it. An element of support. And give you the benefit of the doubt before they go from 2 to 10. Sometimes people do you a favor and thin your circle of friends for you.

Tbh this sounds like a lot of miscommunication on behalf of everyone. Don't beat yourself up over it though. Once everyone calms down it'll take a simple, calm conversation to restore the status quo
