I Sometimes Just Need To Vent
I never thought I'd be glad to return to work, but I'm kind of craving normalcy. The last month and I half have been really rough.
A few weeks after the car accident the doctors suddenly found cancer all over my grandfather body. The next week he was dead. It all happened so suddenly. They had just finished treating him for stage 1 pancreatic cancer and had given him the all clear, but they missed the aggressive, fast moving cancer in his lungs. He seemed fine and energetic all the way until the last week of his life.
My boss has been really great, allowing me time off to go out of town twice in a row after taking a few days to recover from the accident.
I'm ready for life to just settle down into what ever the new normal will be.
