I Need to Vent

I hate it when vendors try selling me hair straighteners that I don't need and touch my hair. I know they're out to make money but they don't have to be rude. Today a woman tried selling me this iron that's in a shape of a brush at the county fair.

First she said $99, then $79 and I told her I didn't have money cause I'm a recent grad that's job hunting. But she cut me off and looked to my dad. Then she asked if my dad could buy it since he was with me and I told her he's retired. She got all pissed and let me go. She made me feel guilty for being poor AF. Another thing is I hated when she called me "mami". Like okay girl...😒🙄

@Elizabeth28 Well she said that since I was a grad she'd give it to me for $99, life time warranty, with hair product and etc. It originally cost like $200 or whatever. But then she dropped it to $79 trying to push me to buy it but obviously it was a no.
She wasn't willing to compromise and I felt like she was rather insensitive to the fact that I don't have money.

Also unprofessional when she brushed my hair she yanked it. And idk if she called me "mami" cause I'm Latina but that's just weird and made me uncomfortable
@UltimateZero that is not the way to do so i am so sorry not all sales rep are like that im sorry

@Elizabeth28 Its okay I mean what can you expect from a county fair? She was young and didn't know what she was doing. I just wish I didn't have that experience
@UltimateZero Young or not respect is a given when your in sales

@Elizabeth28 That's very true and she should've known better. She didn't need to stare into my soul for not buying it.
