We just quit changing our clocks this year here.
@WanderlustCat where is that?
WanderlustCat · 41-45, M
@LILY61 Manitoba Canada
@WanderlustCat Canadians are so rational and now they will probably be even nicer since they will be getting all that sleep

Rambler · 61-69, M
I would prefer standard time all year round, with the sun directly overhead at noon.
Rambler · 61-69, M
@LILY61 Agreed... it works and makes sense so let's stick with it :)
@Rambler i just want to stop changing my clock every 6 months. it makes me ill
Rambler · 61-69, M
@LILY61 Yes it's stressful for no need
fun4us2b · M
I'm an early riser for work, so the sun coming up an hour earlier is definitely better for me during the darker winter months.
fun4us2b · M
@LILY61 Not really, the sun is already going down at 6PM when I get home...so it will be dark either way for me...
@fun4us2b where i live it is dark at 5:15 pm so whether you are coming or going, it is dark. i just always thought it would be safer if it was light until 9 pm . that way people would be more likely to shop.

@LILY61 It is nice in the summer - I guess we'd have to switch hemispheres to get that year round...it is a pain to get jet lag without travelling...so I could go either way on the whole thing...

We’re done thankfully!
@RebelRaven i am jealous
RebelRaven · 51-55, F
@LILY61 hopefully you guys stop soon too
hunkalove · 70-79, M
I think Daylight Saving Time was created for farmers. They don't need it anymore. No one does.
@hunkalove boy is that ever true.
WillaKissing · 61-69, M
To me it is a waste of time the amount of day light does not change or alter because we bump a clock up or down, the number of hours of daylight are just the same (The amount of time the sun is out).
Personally I wish they would leave the time alone.

But if they must change it, it’s not a big deal. I just sometimes forget to change it til I look at my phone.
We don’t have it here so I don’t really care to be honest
@InterdimensionalSideEye south Africa doesn't change their clocks?...wow! i had no idea
@LILY61 no.never had it. Few other countries have stopped it as well.
@InterdimensionalSideEye i don't understand the point of it all
