how come at times when i'm unhappy, everyone else seems to be happy

it feels like a conspiracy against me to be honest....when im going through rough times and i see everyone happy and grinning, its like torture.

Maybe you just notice the smiles more because you wish you were able to smile? Like a confirmation bias or something?

Next time you're out and about when feeling bad, focus on the non-happy people and compare results.
