Tell me about a person that taught you something in your life

My dad taught me that if a car gets stuck in snow, the best way to try to get it out is to follow the same line forward and backward, like tracing a dry pen on paper. The line gets stronger each time.
I used it the other day and got out of a snow trap successfully.
Well... actually three of them, because I was haughty and decided I'm too skilled to get stuck in snow, and didn’t try very hard to avoid it. 😅 I won't do that again. Thankfully I was okay each time.
The user @Miram has been a presence in my life for over a decade and she contually sets an example for me of how to be a loving person. Honestly the way I learn from her, and what she has taught me, is all too nuanced for me to know how to describe. It's been a long process and a painful one, though that pain isn't on account of her.
I guess the best way to put it is that my previous role models always put a lot of value on things like power, money, other superficial things. She's really shown me what it means to actually care about people and the world around myself.
