Going to play poker tonight, anybody got any tips?

I think it’s called Texas Holdem… they give you two cards in hand then they put three cards on the table and you see what you can get with five cards total. I think if you get a high card at first like a king or an ace, or repair you put some money on the table to protect it.

Theres 5 communal cards in total in texas hold 'em. First the flop(three cards), then the turn( 1 card), then the river(1 card).

Don't hesitate to fold. When you have a decent starter play hard but dont bid so high you kill the pot. Save your money for the pocket paires and suited high cards.
