Excellent idea.

@SweetMae could probably hang some duct tape off of other things that are commonly stolen that might help prevent that. Who wants junky stuff with duct tape all over it? 😂

@cherokeepatti “Alabama Chrome” is what my daddy referred to duct tape as

@TexChik My son uses it for first aid.

@TexChik I just discovered Alien Tape a few months ago and am quite impressed at what all it can be used for.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@cherokeepatti Never heard of that.

@SweetMae as long as it works. Superglue was created as surgical glue for minor wounds originally. But they are giving warnings not to use it to keep dentures in place, too much will absorb into the body and that’s not good.

@cherokeepatti Oh my!! That would be bad.
TexChik · F
@cherokeepatti well it doesn’t work well on wet surfaces and it’s toxic to the liver .

@SweetMae It’s advertised quite a bit on late night tv. I think the patent has expired and it’s also being marketed as “Nano tape”. I bought several rolls at the discount store this week. Have used it tape a small rug down in my entrance on the tile, it doesn’t slip around on the tile & even the vacuum suction won’t pull it up. You can pull it up corner by corner. When you want to reuse the tape you take it off and wash it with water and let it dry and it’s good as new. I’ve used it to attach a window screen that came loose, a cabinet door by the fireplace that I am storing stuff in that was pushing the door open, and to reattach the draft stopper strip at the bottom of my storm door outside. Probably a thousand uses for it…very strong stuff. It will hold several pounds of something heavy to a wall or metal plate too.

@TexChik I heard of a meth addict who had false teeth (hers all rotted out) and her dentures broke (imagine that) and she was going to glue them to her gums with superglue. I don’t know if she did or not. But she apparently tolerates liver toxins pretty well if she’s lived over 20 years being a druggie.
